Coach Information

SHBJJ Brazillian Jiu-jitsu coach

Jamison was always very focused on his career in investment management, but in 2006 he was introduced to Jiu-Jitsu at the Gracie Academy in Torrence, California. After just one class, he observed how the ''little guy'' with Jiu-Jitsu could defend themselves against bigger opponents, and Jamison became fascinated with the Jiu-Jitsu lifestyle.

In September 2006 Jamison competed in his first submission-only tournament, winning his weight division. However, career would cause him to start commuting between Los Angeles, NYC, and Shanghai. With this new found passion for Jiu-Jitsu, Jamison found places to train whenever he was traveling: Renzo Gracie Academy in NYC, Renzo Gracie Academy in Los Angeles, and SHBJJ in Shanghai. The myriad of academies has allowed Jamie to develop a deep and technical style of Jiu-Jitsu, which he continues to bring to the mats every day.

Jamison is currently a black belt under Tony Eduardo Lima, and competed numerous time in China as well.
